FOUNDATION
Your journey with us begins with an initial meeting with our team. This is where we get to know you and your vision. We'll discuss how you plan to use your Retro, what matters most to you, and exactly how it will fit your lifestyle. We'll take you on a virtual tour of our workshop, introduce you to the team, and show you examples of the work we do. This is where we start to understand the build in detail. Drivetrain options, interior materials, custom features, paint finishes, we explore it all.
Some clients arrive with a clear vision, others are still narrowing down preferences. Either way, we're here to guide the conversation, ask the right questions, and help shape a specification that's completely yours.
By the end of this meeting, we'll have a clear understanding of what you're looking for, and you'll have a sense of what's possible. From there, we move into the design phase and start bringing your Retro to life.
RENDERS
We create detailed renders showing your build from every angle. This is your chance to see your vision come to life and refine each element before we turn a single bolt. Giving you the chance to visualise different options and arrive at your perfect specification. Following this, you’ll receive samples of the finishes and materials you’ve selected.
TRACK YOUR BUILD
You’ll have access to our custom app, which allows you to follow progress in real-time. You’ll receive regular updates, watch your Retro take shape, and interact with the technicians building your car. From donor strip down to final assembly, you're heavily involved in the process. We’d love to welcome you into our workshop to see your Retro as it progresses and witness the otherwise unseen details under the surface.
DONOR VEHICLE
We source donors based on the specific requirements of your build and its final destination. Age, condition, and chassis integrity all play a role. Each donor is carefully selected to ensure it meets the standards needed for your particular specification and region.
CHASSIS
Our approach is informed by regulations and requirements. The majority of our builds are fitted with new chassis, while certain market regulations demand the original chassis be used. In these cases, they’re shot-blasted, treated, and can be finished in durable Raptor paint. Where permitted, we also galvanise for maximum corrosion protection.
ENGINE
Every engine is either a new crate engine or completely rebuilt, stripped to bare block, measured for wear, corrected if necessary, and reassembled with all new ancillaries. We offer a wide range of options, ranging from original Land Rover engines, right up to high-performance options like the Chevrolet LS3 V8, or we can perform a full electric vehicle conversion.
DRIVELINE
Options for both manual or automatic gearboxes, either brand new or fully rebuilt, along with a transfer box fully rebuilt by our UK specialists. Ratios can be tailored to suit your driving style. Axle casings are repaired if necessary, then fully rebuilt with refurbished differentials and new drive shafts with uprated components to match the increased demands of high-performance builds.
BRAKES & SUSPENSION
All new brake components and lines as standard. Suspension is completely refitted with new parts: 1" lowered Retro springs paired with adjustable Fox shock absorbers for precise handling and improved stance. Upgrade options include fully adjustable air suspension or adjustable Tractive performance suspension.
EXTERIOR
Body panels across the vehicle are replaced with new parts, with quality and tolerances far better than the factory originals. With limitless options for you to choose your colour and finish. Every panel is painted inside and out, off the vehicle for complete coverage and superior finish.
INTERIOR
Choose from a range of materials from leather to mohair and more, all of which are available in custom colours and stitch patterns. If you’ve always dreamt of something unique, our trimmers can create something truly one of a kind. Seating is configurable to suit your needs. Flooring options range from rubber mats to our bespoke wood floors, available in a huge range of choices, layouts, and finishes. All custom-made to your desired specification and built to last.
CUSTOM SOLUTIONS
Our in-house R&D team develops completely custom features tailored to your build. From integrated cabinetry and tables to ski tunnels, champagne fridges, entertainment systems, and innovative roof designs. Whatever you envision for your classic Land Rover, we engineer and fabricate the solution.
TESTING
After months of meticulous assembly, comes a process of rigorous testing. A minimum of 500 miles across varied local roads, as well as rigorous testing of the vehicle in the environmental conditions of its delivery destination to ensure the vehicle meets our exacting standards. This process means you can start to write your chapter of this story as soon as you receive your Retro.
HANDOVER
We’d love to host you at the breathtaking Swinton Park Hotel on the Swinton Estate. Overnight accommodation included. This will be your first experience with the finished car. After unveiling your Retro, we explore a slice of the estate's 20,000-acre Yorkshire landscape.
Alternatively, we can arrange a handover experience in whichever location best suits you.
DELIVERY
We can assist in arranging worldwide shipping through trusted partners who ensure seamless customs and safe transit to your door.
